My (imaginary) pony, Wyvern. Took me awhile to finish this. The morass/swamp thing sucks; courtesy of my old monitor.

How I fail at art and other emoisms,

Dear dA,

I fail at art. I'm sorry. I've started several new images and never progressed beyond the cutting of the main subject.
(I blame the tablet and its clever plot to show me how awesome and easy it makes things, without magically giving me artistic talent. Sigh.)
The images I've cut out are of horses. I have clever ideas about what to do with them - and nothing else. Why? Because I've no idea of concept, apparently. Because I'm trying so hard to come up with something creative that, well, I suck at the whole creativity thing, you know? I have vague ideas of wanting to do something different, but that's it, ideas. Nothing solid enough for a start. So I stare, stare and despair.
I just really don't wanna do the whole horse-in-pretty field/sky/abyss/lake thing - and I kind of want to break with the "plain black background of blankness" thing. Which is why, I suppose, I'm stalking the surreal & sci-fi photomanipulation galleries for inspiration (fantasy is good too, but fantasy is closer to the clicheism I'm trying to avoid - not because it isn't pretty, just because it's boring).
Alas. Maybe I should give up on this Photoshop thing.
